About Myr Academy

Myr Academy is a creative sanctuary for artists aged 10 to 100.
Founded in 2015 at the historic Art Factory in Paterson, NJ.
We foster connection, growth, and transformation across generations and cultures.
Our inclusive studio blends traditional and digital arts, supporting emerging talent, especially within New Jersey’s immigrant communities.

What Is the Enrichment Art Program?

Enrichment Art Program is grounded in academic research and over a decade of hands-on teaching experience. Drawing on insights from leading scholars in the field of gifted and talented education, we have created a unique, research-based approach to art learning that serves diverse student groups.

In 2010, we participated in the Giftedness, Talent, and Creativity Seminars in Connecticut and met renowned educator Joseph Renzulli. Following this, we visited exemplary gifted and talented (G&T) programs across New York, Boston, and Florida, gathering valuable resources, books, posters, and documentation to inform our methods.

Between 2013 and 2015, we studied and contributed to the Harvard Art Museums’ education programs, engaging with both on-campus and community-based initiatives. These experiences enriched our curriculum with a strong foundation in public and inclusive art education.

Our methodology has been applied to a wide range of learners, including special needs groups, and continually evolves in light of new research and technological advancements.

We have documented and published our findings — including our dissertation and several academic articles — through the University of Gazi’s Ph.D. program in Arts Education and various peer-reviewed journals.
